Hunt’s Porsche 911 For Sale

How much is a 1974 Porsche Carrera RS worth? Well, if it’s one with an impressive history in motorsport – including being owned by one James Hunt – then the answer could be more than you think.

In fact, this yellow 911, one of only six made in right-hand drive form as part of the Porsche RSR homologation process, is up for £365,000 at Nick Whale Sports Cars. Sold new to F1 team owner Lord Hesketh, it was given to James Hunt shortly afterwards in 1974 and stayed with him until 1976, his F1 Championship year.
‘This car is clearly an important piece of motoring history. Hunt was an enigmatic champion, and this car was with him when he was at the peak of his career. With its unique provenance it represents a very rare opportunity,’ says seller Nick Whale.
The Porsche is claimed to be completely original in every respect and has just undergone a major service by a Porsche specialist. For more details, view www.nickwhale.com or call 07831 440 158.
