MORE SUPPORT FOR DRIVE-IT DAY

Vauxhall has come out in support of the UK’s national Drive It Day for the third year running by opening the doors to its Heritage Centre on Sunday, April 25. And that means Vauxhall enthusiasts can head along anytime between 10am and 4pm to see the company’s fascinating collection of historic cars.

Organised by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC), Drive It Day encourages owners to take their classics out on the road to help celebrate our motoring heritage. Even more importantly though, it’s a chance to show the general public that the classic vehicle scene is thriving and here to stay.
If you fancy heading to Vauxhall’s Luton-based open day, you’ll find any make or model of classic vehicle is welcome. A full range of Vauxhall memorabilia will be on sale, and the company will be celebrating thirty years of the Astra in the UK with a display of cars from each generation of the model. All you have to do is turn up on the day, using the Park Street entrance – just behind Vauxhall’s main Griffin House HQ in Luton.
Meanwhile, to find out what the member clubs of the FBHVC are getting up to in order to celebrate Drive It Day, simply log on to www.fbhvc.co.uk/driveitday, where you’ll find the full rundown. And make sure you tell us afterwards what YOU got up to on Drive It Day by emailing us details and photographs – with the best ones making it into a future issue of CCM.
