CROWDS AT SILVERSTONE

Organisers of the Silverstone Classic claim theirs is now the biggest historic motor racing event in the UK.

That's after the organiser confirmed visitor figures of 65,000 for this year’s extravaganza – a 15 per cent increase on the 2008 figure. More than 600 cars and 900 drivers took part in 21 races in total, ensuring plenty of on-track action.
