  Classica Essen
Despite some challenges in recent years, the Essen show is the big one and is well worth a visit if only to see the impressive displays mounted by the German manufacturers’ heritage departments. Held at the ‘Messe Essen’ conference centre (a kind of German NEC) you’ll get more details from www.eventim.de or +49 (0) 1805-570000. MARCH 22-25

 Stuttgart Retro Classics
We visited this new show last year and with support from nearby BMW and Porsche, it’s fast becoming an event to rival the mighty Techno Classica. This year the organisers promise over 3000 classics and 1300 exhibitors with a truly international flavour.
