Making an over-estimate £19,910, a 1951 MG TD was again very nicely restored and was a genuine right-hand drive home market car that had kept its original Cardiff registration, while a usable 1948 YA saloon seemed like a bit of a bargain and perfect for winter-time classic motoring at £3520. The surprise amongst the MGs was a 1968 MGC roadster in rare automatic guise. Offered as a dismantled project, the car had many new bits included in the sale, but was nevertheless going to be a pretty major project. With a guide of £3,000-4,000, it certainly didn’t seem like it was being given away, which makes the £7590 achieved something of a shock. |

A beautifully restored 1936 MG PB Midget made top money at DVCA’s September 23 sale, bringing home a strong £23,650 and topping a run of firm MG prices during the day.
