HANDS-ON LEARNING
Thursday, 09 December 2010 17:02

learningThe bodywork courses run by Cambridgeshire-based Contour Autocraft have been officially accredited by EMTA Awards – which means that all students passing one of the courses will now receive a certificate of achievement endorsed by EAL. And, crucially, this will also count towards a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).

Contour Autocraft is one of very few places in the world where students can learn the traditional arts of the car body builder, including jig making, use of the English wheel and body construction. Contour Autocraft’s Bruce Macleod commented: ‘Gaining this accreditation ensures that we are providing the best practice in training. There will be an ongoing monitoring of the delivery of the courses and the quality of the facilities at our workshop; this ensures that students are getting maximum benefit from time spent here.’

Costs start at £1198 including VAT for the Foundation course, rising to £1698 if you want to be trained whilst working on your own project. For further details, call 01406 330504 or go to www.contourautocraft.co.uk.
