BIGGER AND BETTER PAGEANT OF POWER
Wednesday, 09 February 2011 18:19

NewsPageantTickets are on sale now – priced from just £15 for adults – for this year’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, which for the first time will be held over three days. It all kicks off on Friday, July 15 and will run throughout the weekend.

The inclusion of a Friday Preview Day allows visitors to get behind the scenes in the pit area and view the international field of famous cars, racing drivers and motorcyclists as they take to the 1.2-mile sprint track for practice runs before the competitive race action starts on Saturday.

Held at the Cholmondeley Estate in Cheshire, the Pageant of Power was created four years ago to celebrate all forms of power and performance. And this year’s highlights include displays – and action – celebrating the 40th anniversary of Tyrrell’s first Formula 1 World Championship, the Lotus that Stirling Moss famously piloted to victory at Monaco in 1961, the world’s only collection of four-wheel drive Formula 1 cars and a Bentley Speed 8 endurance racer.

Taking to the skies will be the largest private helicopter gathering in Europe, plus the daring Breitling Wingwalkers, and a WWII fighter plane fly-past. So if this sounds like your sort of event, book your tickets early by logging on to www.cpop.co.uk. Savings are available on pre-purchased tickets.
