There's a new auction house in town, and it'll be specialising in classic cars, modern supercars, all types of competition cars, modern and historic motorcycles and automotive memorabilia. Silverstone Auctions, set up between Silverstone Circuits and Midlands automotive entrepreneur Nick Whale, is located in Silverstone’s new ‘Wing’ building.

There'll be three sales this year, kicking off with a Moto GP sale, but expects to hold four in subsequent years. The first sale of interest to classic car owners, The Silverstone Classic Sale, takes place on 23rd July and will offer the finest classic cars, modern super cars, all types of competition cars, motorcycles and ‘automobilia’. This will be followed in November by The Walter Hayes Sale held at the traditional end of season race meeting.

The auction venue is housed in Silverstone Circuit’s prestigious new uber-modern building, The Wing, which is the result of a £30 million investment by the BRDC, and is the longest building in Britain at a length of 360 metres and 90 metres high at its tallest point. From 70 to 100 auction vehicles can be displayed, with clients also able to preview racing car lots in the environment of Silverstone’s new world-class pit garages.
