Fans of classic Audis can now find out more about the brand’s history thanks to a new heritage section on the company’s audi.co.uk website. Visitors to the site can take in the sights of iconic Audi cars, see the company’s technology in action and re-live the thrills and spills of its motorsport record, as well as exploring how four separate companies became the one we now know as Audi.

The ‘heritage showroom’ takes visitors through the brand’s heritage, from the 1913 Audi Type C through to the rally-winning Quattro of the Eighties and even the R8 of 2007. And what Audi describes as its ‘Vorsprung durch Technik DNA’ is laid bare in the gallery, which features key future-shaping developments like the Quattro all-wheel drive system.
