The ongoing ‘World of Top Gear’ exhibition allows visitors to see some of the cars featured in the TV show’s most ambitious challenges, as well as enjoying clips of some of its best moments. And in the museum’s new ‘Feats of Endurance’ exhibition, you’ll find vehicles that have taken part in some amazing challenges – including the Austin Westminster that completed a 17,500-mile drive from Norway’s North Cape to Cape Town, South Africa in 1955, plus a 1978 Mini 1275GT that has twice been driven round the world for charity. Meanwhile, the museum’s ‘Star Vehicles’ section features a number of old favourites, including Del Boy’s Reliant Supervan from the BBC’s Only Fools and Horses, Mr Bean’s lime green Mini and even the flying Ford Anglia 105E used in the filming of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. With over 250 vehicles in total on display, plus tours of the house, a day at Beaulieu should keep just about everyone entertained. Find out more at www.beaulieu.co.uk. |
