HERITAGE CERTIFICATES FOR MORE CLASSICS
Thursday, 07 July 2011 00:00

CCMnewsCertficatesFor many years, the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust has been offering Heritage Certificates to owners of most BMC and British Leyland classics, enabling enthusiasts to find out more about their cars’ build dates and factory-fitted equipment. And now the BMIHT has announced an expansion of the models it covers.

For the first time ever, certificates are available for the William Towns-designed Aston Martin Lagonda, with the BMIHT’s build records covering most of the Series 2 cars of 1979-83. Also added to the list is every variation from British Leyland’s Princess line-up – including Austin, Morris and Wolseley versions of the original 18-22 series, the Princess range itself and even the Ambassador that replaced it in 1982.

As well as most BMC and Leyland models being covered by the scheme (including marques like Triumph, Rover, MG, Morris, Austin and Mini), Heritage Certificates are also available for all Land Rovers and Range Rovers. To order yours, go online to www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk or call 01926 645076.
