SeptnewsOldFordAs part of Ford of Britain’s 100th anniversary this year, the company has been reissuing images from its past – and we couldn’t resist reminding you of this classic poster from 1935, promoting the latest Model Y.

Ford was suddenly propelled to the forefront of value-for-money motoring that year, as the Model Y became the only four-seater saloon on sale in Britain with such a low list price. The poster’s headline of ‘The £100 Ford Saloon’ told you all you needed to know: the Dagenham-built Ford Model Y really was a car for the masses.
