To help mark the Jaguar sportster’s 50th anniversary, Goodwood’s Fordwater Trophy will feature a grid exclusively made up of E-types – of the spec that raced up until 1966. The race will be a 45-minute two-driver event, with driver changes in the pits between 15 and 30 minutes. The Fordwater Trophy will feature an impressive mix of historically significant competition E-types, including six of the 12 lightweights still in existence. And with a line-up of drivers that includes ex-F1 stars Gerhard Berger, Jackie Oliver, Jochen Mass, Adrian Newey and Tiff Needell, there should be plenty of on-track excitement.
