Starting on the southern side of Delhi at the fabulous Oberoi Hotel, this event – for pre-1972 vehicles only – scrambles its way round 2,600 kilometres of amazing countryside, time trials, historic sites, heat, dust and adventure, before finishing back in Delhi. Sporting stages abound for those wanting competition, with daily challenges that include runs through the desert, in the hills and over the plains. The event combines competitive stages with a chance to visit historic palaces and exotic temples, as well as the only remaining wonder of the world – the Taj Mahal. 2013 also looks like being a busy year, with the South American Challenge in January/February, the Himalayan Challenge in September/October and the Cuba Classic in the November. And there are even rallies already being prepared for 2014, including the Mayan Rally and the African Classic. After making a big name for itself on the classic vehicle auction scene over the years, the H&H team is now determined to offer a range of adventures for today’s pioneering classic car owners.
