Driving the first right-hand drive coupe to come off the production line was Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis who had just celebrated his 91st birthday. Nick Goldthorp, CMC’s managing director, drove the prototype E-type. “We wanted to mark the end of what has been an incredible year,” said CMC chairman Peter Neumark. Dick Skipworth led the parade with his Ecurie Ecosse transporter, complete with Jaguar C-Type and D-Type. Bringing up the rear were the latest Jaguar XKR-S and XJ models. |
