CLASSIC COATING
Thursday, 09 December 2010 11:40

coatingA new coating that’s claimed to provide classic car bodyshells with superior rust protection made its debut at the NEC’s Footman James Classic Motor Show in November – and attracted plenty of attention.

Developed for use on classic and competition cars by chemical cleaning and automotive specialist Surface Processing, the electroless nickel coating is said to offer a performance improvement over existing paint technologies. The company claims the treatment is so effective that it’s able to offer trade customers a three-year warranty on every bodyshell that passes through the cleaning and finishing process.
