The sump casting features internal and external bracing to further increase engine block rigidity. This should prove particularly useful when used on a 1950cc engine or high-rpm competition powerplant. Cambridge Motorsport Parts now offers a fully-baffled aluminium sump pan for five-bearing MGB engines which, thanks to its vertical baffles, has been exclusively designed to prevent oil surges. There’s also a removable horizontal baffle fitted for easy cleaning.
