ON THE LIMIT
Thursday, 12 May 2011 00:00

JuneProdLimitDuke Video has been unearthing more treasures from the BP Video Library to produce On The Limit, a collection of three motorsport meetings from the Fifties. As we’re sure you’ll have guessed from the name, the action is all about thrills and near spills. The first piece of footage captures the production touring car race, held as part of the 1958 British Grand Prix. It’s 17 laps of wheel-to-wheel racing between Jaguars, Austins, Rileys, MGs and more.

Next, viewers are taken to Northern Ireland’s Dundrod circuit for the RAC International Tourist Trophy of 1955 – Mike Hawthorn’s Jaguar D-type versus Stirling Moss’s Mercedes-Benz 300SLR. Finally, it’s the 1950 International Race Meeting at Goodwood where in pouring rain, BRM battles to its first win.

On the Limit retails at £19.99 and can be ordered online or by phone using the details below.
