According to Burton, replacing the crown wheel and pinion is a precision operation and should only be carried out by an expert using the correct specialist tooling. This is because the correct backlash and gear mesh pattern is critical in ensuring both a maximum service life and low noise levels. To carry out this service Burton requires a complete differential housing (not the rear axle casing), including the pinion flange, bearing caps and bearing adjusting collars. Courier and collection can be arranged within the UK. CONTACT |
