If you’ve read your club magazine recently or visited the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs’ website (www.fbhvc.co.uk) you’ll be aware that a hot topic with the fbhvc at the moment is the effect of ethanol-blended petrol on classic fuel systems.

In response, Frost now has a special new additive that’s said to protect against harmful effects. According to Frost, Ethomix has been formulated to prevent corrosion in fuel systems and internal engine components, gum and resin build-up, clogged carburettors, fuel lines, plus aggravation of water and moisture problems in unused engine situations.  

One 250ml bottle at £12 is said to treat 250 litres of fuel – enough for about five car tank fills.
