The German Car Industry: My Part In Its Victory focuses on how by the ’80s German marques including BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Audi commanded almost every market, from hatchbacks to supercars. Those loyal to BL tin won’t like what Ruppert has to say, but we recommend they read this title nonetheless. Besides being a history of sorts, looking at what the Germans did right (and what everyone else did wrong), Ruppert also reminisces on selling BMWs from a West End showroom. And as a critically-acclaimed columnist his personal input actually makes up some of this book’s best bits. Order from the website below – expect to pay £12.99. CONTACT |

We loved the last book we reviewed from James Ruppert (the expertly written Bangernomics Bible, which covered every aspect of buying and running a car for less) so we’re not surprised that this new title is a winner too.
