Given the price (just £18.50), we were extremely impressed with Harley wax. According to stockist Polishworxs, each generously sized tin contains 100 per cent pure number one yellow Brazilian carnauba wax. It’s a substance that is suitable for all paint types and doesn’t contain any abrasives, powders or thinning agents – all of which makes it an ideal product for use on classics.

The wax is also incredibly easy to apply using a soft cloth and hazes in around five minutes. We may have put a little too much on so buffing did require a fair amount of elbow grease, but the result is a lovely gloss effect that adds life to dull finishes.
